About Me
I joined the University of Bayreuth as a professor of Mobile Computing and Telemedicine in 2026. Before I spent 3 years as a Postdoc at the HCI Group with TT-Prof. Dr. Tiare Feuchtner at the University of Konstanz. During my PhD and early Postdoc phase, I worked at the Digital Media Lab with Prof. Dr. Rainer Malaka at the University of Bremen, where I obtained my PhD in HCI.
My research combines human-computer interaction (HCI), computer science, and medicine to design technical systems that complement human capabilities rather than replace them. This also involves incorporating nonverbal and physiological signals into digital interactions to better support complex coordination processes - such as those involved in teamwork. At the same time, user-centred design of telemedicine solutions makes medical care accessible regardless of location or situation. My aim is to research and develop safe, understandable, and humen-centred digital medicine.
